OC HOME & FAMILY PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy. As Orange County’s finest placement agency for nannies, caregivers, chefs, tutors, babysitters, and housekeepers, OC Home & Family (“OC H&F,” “we” or “us”) respect your right to privacy privacy. This notice (this “Privacy Policy”) describes what information we collect about you, how we collect it, how we use it, and with whom we may share it. This Privacy Policy is part of our Web site www.ochomeandfamily.com, or any replacement site, (the “Site”). By accessing and using the Site, you agree that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy and you accept and consent to the privacy practices (and any uses and disclosures of information about you) that are described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected and Its Use. The Site contains forms that allow both potential employees (“Candidates”) and potential employers (“Clients”) to submit information to us regarding themselves and the positions that they are seeking or seeking to fill. The information that you are asked to submit in such a case may include personal or individually identifiable information, such as your name, address, telephone number, and other contact information. If you are a Candidate seeking a position, you may be asked to provide further information about yourself, such as your educational background and employment history, your current and past levels of compensation, your marital status, personal interests, and activities, and certain health care-related information about you. Similarly, if you are submitting a Client application, you may be asked to submit further information about your needs for domestic services. All of this information should be complete, truthful, and accurate.

We may also collect information such as the Internet protocol (“IP”) address assigned to your computer, specific pages that you accessed on the Site or immediately prior to visiting the Site, and the length of time you spend in a visit to the Site. This information can generate aggregated, non-identifiable statistical information, and help us to monitor and analyze Site traffic and usage patterns.

We may also use “cookies” (small text files stored on your computer) to help track and customize your access to and use of the Site. Cookies store and retain information that helps us recognize you when you return to the Site following a previous visit. Most popular Internet browser packages allow you to configure the browser so as not to accept cookies. However, setting your browser to reject cookies may, in certain instances, prevent you from taking full advantage of the Site and the materials, products, and services that we make available on the Site.

We may use, disclose, and keep on file any information that you submit or provide to us (or that you cause to be submitted or provided to us) on any of the forms that may be posted on the Site or other documents, as necessary and appropriate for the purposes for which it was submitted. For example, if you are a Candidate seeking a position, we may share information about you, for prospective employment purposes, with families that we have prescreened and for which you would seem a good match. Similarly, we may share information about families and their needs with prescreened Candidates that seem to fit those needs. We will not use or disclose personally or individually identifiable information about individuals or families for other purposes, except as specifically provided in this Privacy Policy.

Sharing of Information. As noted above, we may share information about Candidates with selected families, and information about families with selected Candidates, for prospective employment purposes. As part of our application process, we require both Candidates and families who request our services to agree to written obligations of confidentiality regarding information that we share with them.

We may disclose information (including personal and individually identifiable information) about you if we become subject to a subpoena or court order or if we are otherwise legally required to disclose such information. We may also use and disclose information about you to establish, exercise, or protect our legal rights, to enforce the Terms of Use, to assert and defend against legal claims, or if we believe such disclosure is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding actual or suspected illegal or fraudulent activities or potential threats to the physical safety or well-being of any person.

Providing your Information to Us. We only request information that we reasonably need in order to appropriately serve your needs, and all applications and other forms or documents need to be completed fully, truthfully, and accurately. If you wish to utilize our services, you need to carefully complete and submit the appropriate application and related materials, whether as a prospective Candidate or as a Client seeking the services of a Candidate. Please take care to share only such information as is needed or that you believe is appropriate. You must be at least 18 years old to use our services, and if you are not 18, please do not submit an application to us.

Protecting Your Information. OC H&F uses commercially reasonable measures to secure and protect information transmitted via or stored on the Site. However, we cannot and do not guarantee that any such transmissions or information will be totally secure. Unencrypted Internet communications are not secure, and no security measures are impenetrable. You agree to immediately notify us of any breach of Site security, this Privacy Policy, or the Terms of Use of which you become aware.

Changes to Privacy Policy. From time to time, we may change our privacy practices, and this Privacy Policy, because of changes in our business or services, in relevant and applicable legal or regulatory requirements, or in our attempts to better serve the needs of families, Candidates, and our other customers. In the event of any changes to our privacy practices, notice will be given in the manner described in the Terms of Use, and a revised Privacy Policy will be posted on the Site.
