Your children stay in familiar surroundings, receive one-on-one attention, are not exposed to any outside germs, and therefore get sick less often. Responsibilities of the caregiver include preparing healthy meals, bathing, changing diapers, potty training, planning lessons and outdoor activities, driving children to and from school, and supervising homework. Other responsibilities of your nanny may include family errands, light housework, and laundry for the family.
All OC Home & Family nannies have First Aid Training and CPR Certification. Our nannies work on either a live-in or live-out basis for your convenience. All our candidates are required to possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a safe driving record. Our nannies have reliable vehicles and insurance to transport your children in the event that you do not wish to provide a vehicle of your own.

Our nannies undergo a rigorous screening process. This includes both phone and in-person interviews. We begin with a complete questionnaire and full application. We require relevant information about their personal and professional history. We verify every one of their references by conversation over the phone. While many candidates are interviewed, only a select few of them are chosen to be nannies for OC Home & Family.
Our Screening Process:
- We work with candidates who we know professionally and who are recommended by families, churches, schools, or by word of mouth
- We require a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in the domestic industry
- We verify employment and personal references are documented accordingly
- We conduct a thorough assessment on behavior and integrity
- We provide a complete background check, which includes Social Security verification, statewide and county felony and misdemeanor, national sex offender registry search, DUI and DMV report
- In addition to the complete criminal background check, at our client’s request, our candidates are also screened through TrustLine Registry
- Each candidate is fingerprinted
- We provide all legal documents
- Tuberculosis testing and immunization is checked
- We ensure our candidates have been trained in CPR and that they have a First Aid Certification
Need a Babysitter?
Whether you need a babysitter for a night out or a business meeting, we have babysitters available to suit your needs. A babysitter is typically a caregiver for a short period of time that is not involved in the development of the child or children on a daily basis. A babysitter hired through our company will work mostly on occasion, such as during weekends, evenings, or after school. Responsibilities include playtime, driving to after-school activities, supervision of homework, feeding, and getting the kids ready for bed.
